Welcome 2018!

It is with pleasure that we welcome all of our students, families and staff back to what promises to be a very exciting and learning-focused school year.

We are welcoming many new families to our community and it has been fantastic to see how quickly student friendships have been formed in both the classroom and the playground.

Parent Information Sessions

Parent Information sessions will be held over the upcoming weeks. These sessions will provide you with a more in- depth understanding of how your child's class works and will provide an opportunity to ask the class teacher any questions that may still need clarification. Throughout the term class teachers will provide regular email updates to parents. Classes will also be utilising 'Seesaw' – a digital portfolio that allows students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Parents will be provided with log in details and information about how they can keep 'up to date' with the exciting projects their child is completing in class.

New Art Specialist

This year we are pleased to welcome Mrs Sophie MacFarlane as our part-time Art Specialist. Sophie works with us on a Monday and Tuesday and for the first semester will be working primarily with the PP – Year 3 students. We are currently trying to refurbish the area underneath Room 9 so that it can be used as a dedicated Art Room. In the meantime, however Sophie is conducting her art lessons in the main classrooms.

Our P&C Welcome Picnic will take place at school on Friday, 16th February from 5pm – 7pm. This is a great opportunity to meet other families who are in the same classes as your children and we look forward to catching up with you all at the picnic.
